Hiring Translator

Strays has been scanlating Vagabond for the past year and recently our translator decided to up and drop it …again. In order to continue providing good quality scans of Vagabond (or any scans at all) we need to find another translator. Proofreading, consistency, etc can be provided to prospective translators if they believe that might be a problem. As this is a weekly series we would like translations to come in a timely manner but we can work with any translator to work out some kind of schedule. Apply by leaving me message here, PMing me on mangahelpers, our forum (Not_Log on both,) posting a thread on our forum, or emailing us at strays [dot] scans@gmail.com . I can also be contacted on irchighway under the nick Log or Not_Log .

TL;DR: Vagabond needs a translator.

Val quit on us already she says it’s Naruto all over again so someone who’s competent and actually knows what vagabond is give me a yell.

In other sad news, Magazine Z has recently been canned. This was the home to staff favorites Companion and Chevalier and it’s a shame to see it go.

In less terrible news, we will be adding some color bonus pages to Jackals with the help of sTFun.

Edit 4:30pm: Also the wiki has been brought up to date thanks to ballzy.

We need you guys to help us release more manga. If you want to come join us, all you need is to know how to work in Photoshop and the desire to scanlate.

We work with both magazine scans of better quality than the Jump ones (Vagabond, My Balls, Companion) and tankoubon scans of very good quality.

For this you need to have very good English skills: grammar, spelling and rephrasing.

We have manga we’d love to do, but nobody to translate it. So if you’re a Japanese-English translator, we’d love to have you aboard. We also have room for a Korean/Chinese one. Plenty of projects to go around.
