King of Thorn is one of the most underrated manga out there, and I truly have a difficult time understanding why critics seem to dislike it so much. I think the premise and the story are excellent, but it's the characters that are absolutely amazing. Marco, especially, could probably carry the story on his own even if the plot was iffy.
